Family travel with the best of โem!
Last summer we were fortunate enough to meet up with our dear friends from LA, Dave and @tiffany_jacobs_quinn, in St. Remy de Provence, France, along for the ride with their multi-generational family trip. Well, the Europhiles that they are, they decided to spend their spring break in Valencia.
They stayed just a 5-minute walk away from our place in El Carmen so we were able to meet up easily for activities. We had many special meals together, including at Alqueria del Pou #alqueriadelpou for Valencian paella and โalcachofas a la planchaโ (grilled artichokes) at an outdoor garden patio on the outskirts of town. The biggest treat was that the girls were able to celebrate with us at Jacobโs birthday party, and had a lot of fun playing and being silly and crazy together.
Thanks to my momโs babysitting help with the three kids for a sleepover (okay, not much sleep was actually had), us parents went out for a true Spanish-style dinner at 10:30pm followed by dancing at Club Salvaje, which was a blast. Dave and Tiff were such troopers for going clubbing while still jet-lagged!
These guys not only inspired our 2019 maternity leave EuroTrip (they did the same with their kids, twice!) but continue to be fantastic travel buddies. Canโt wait for more family trips together in Europe and beyond.
And lest we forget the joy of traveling without kids: the Daves will meet up again in a month for an epic golf trip in Scotland ๐๐ผ
