Our last stop in Switzerland was Zürich, which seems to get downplayed or entirely overlooked in guide books compared with so many other naturally beautiful locations in the country. We actually found it to be a terrific city, even with mixed weather during our visit. The highlight was a 1.5-hour lake boat cruise to get some of the best views of the city (even if Jacob was less than impressed on that particular morning).
The old town historic areas on both sides of the river are lovely to explore. Our Airbnb near Kreuzplatz was a great location for parks, playgrounds, and eclectic food options. We also enjoyed checking out the “up and coming” Industriequartier, including a lively beer garden scene at @fraugeroldsgarten.
Note: we passed on the La Brea SoCal tacos. 😉
